Nepal: Janakpur Celebrates Deepotsav To Commemorate Pran-Pratishtha

As the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony concludes, Lord Ram's marital home is lit up with diyas to celebrate the successful conclusion of the 'Pran-Pratishtha' ceremony in Ayodhya on Monday.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony concludes, Lord Ram's marital home is lit up with diyas to celebrate the successful conclusion of the 'Pran-Pratishtha' ceremony in Ayodhya on Monday. 

Janakpur is the birthplace of Goddess Sita, Lord Ram's wife. Moreover, the city is named after King Janak, Goddess Sita's father. Earlier, devotees from Janakpur arrived in Ayodhya and offered Bhar (a traditional gift to the groom from the bride's side) 

The Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla successfully concluded on Monday 22nd January in Ayodhya.  A sea of prominent dignitaries were seen attending the ceremony. Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participated by leading the rituals of the ceremony
