Delhi: Google showcased its cutting-edge AI platform, Google Gemini, at an event in Delhi, unveiling three new tools designed to enhance user experience and productivity. Shekar Khosla, Vice President of Marketing at Google India, spoke passionately about the platform’s capabilities and its role in empowering users.

"Google Gemini is the state-of-the-art that people can access in various ways," Khosla said, emphasizing the excitement surrounding AI in India, but also acknowledging that only 30% of people have actively used it so far. “We need to spread awareness about it. The people who have used it feel their confidence increased, improved creativity, and a rise in productivity level,” he explained, reflecting on the positive impact AI can have on individuals and industries.

Khosla also clarified that Google Gemini is designed to complement, not replace, human effort. “This is not a human replacement, rather a human augmentation, a collaborator, an assistant for humans,” he stated, underscoring the platform's potential to assist rather than overshadow human capabilities.

With a focus on expanding access, Khosla shared that Google’s goal is to ensure that everyone can benefit from AI’s transformative power, helping people progress in their personal and professional lives. “We want to build access among people… This is our goal and we will move forward till this goal is fulfilled,” he concluded, setting the tone for Google’s continued push to make AI more accessible to the masses in India.
