Yannick Carrasco Barcelona interest cooled

They had an option to sign Carrasco for 18 million euros as a part of an exchange deal which would see Memphis Depay go to Atletico in January, but both were at loggerheads and Atletico coach Diego Simeone is keen to keep him . Xavi Hernandez, Barca coach wants a midfielder to replace Sergio Busquets, a back up to Robert Lewandoski. Earlier last season, it was thought Brazilian youngster Vitor Roque would take that spot, but that couldnt happen due to less spending power of Barcelona. It is reported Barcelona may try to convince Jules Kounde for right back, and Julian Araujo would complete for the spot.
