William Saliba extends stay  with Arsenal

By Avideep Nandi Majumdar: William Saliba has decided to extend his stay in Arsenal by 4 years, meaning he will be there till 2027. His contract with Arsenal was to expire in 2024, however he will now stay with the club till 2027. A deal is likely to be signed in the coming two to three weeks. He earns Euros 40,000 a week. He had joined the club in 2019 for 27 million Euros. He has been rocksolid at the back, and has kept 11 clean sheets last season. His importance to the defense was understood when after his injuries, Arsenals defence became prone, susceptible and exposed to opposition attacks and leaked in goals. Along with him, Arsenal have also tied Gabriel Martinelli, Aaron Ramsdale and Gabriel Magalhaes to long term deals. In order to shore up their backline, Arsenal are in pursuit of Joao Cancelo.
