Delhi: Danish badminton ace Viktor Axelsen secured a hard-fought victory over Loh Kean Yew in the quarter-finals of the India Open Super 750 tournament. Axelsen, the world number one, showcased his adaptability and resilience to come back from a challenging start and clinch the win.
Speaking after the match, Axelsen acknowledged the intensity of Loh’s gameplay. "He played a very good attacking game at the start of the match, and my defence was not very good," said the Danish star. However, Axelsen quickly adapted to the situation, showcasing his champion mindset. "I found a way back, and I am very satisfied. I managed to find a solution," he added.
Loh Kean Yew’s aggressive start had Axelsen on the backfoot in the initial stages, but the Dane’s experience and tactical adjustments enabled him to regain control and dominate the later phases of the match.
