Rodrigo Moreno leaves Leeds United

Leeds United striker Rodrigo Moreno has decided to end his 3 year association with Leeds United to join Qatari club Al Rayyan. The Qatari club decided to activate the release clause in his contract with Leeds to sign him. According to reports a deal has been finalized between both the clubs, and Rodrigo is set to undergo medicals with the Qatari side and then sign a deal. He had joined Leeds in 2020 from Valencia, and had helped Leeds finish within Top 10 in their first season in top flight since relegation in 2004. Since then, he had become a vital part of their attacking department. Last season he had scored 25 times and assisted 2 times, as Leeds were relegated. He leaves Leeds having scored 28 goals and given 5 assists in 97 appearences. He is the 5th player to leave Leeds after relegation, after Brendan Aaronson, Marc Rosa, Robin Koch and Tyler Roberts.
