London: Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has leapt to a career-best 15th position in the ICC Test bowling rankings, following a sensational performance in the fifth and final Test of the first Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy series at The Oval .

Siraj claimed a total of nine wickets in the match, including a vital five-wicket haul in the second innings, finishing with figures of 5 for 104, to seal one of India’s narrowest-ever Test victories—a thrilling six-run win over England . His final delivery bowled Gus Atkinson to secure the result and earn him Player of the Match honours  .
