Ivan Toney is an English footballer who plays for English club Brentford. He is considered to be one of Brentford main players and a great dribbler. Besides dribbling, he is known for scoring class penalties, so far he has missed only 1 penalty. He also has an eye for goal and can deliver inch perfect assists to create goalscoring opportunities. He joined Brentford from Peterborough United on 31 August 2020 on a 5 years deal at 5m with addons. On 26th September, he opened his account for the West London side in a 1-1 draw against Millwall. In Brentfords first game in the Premier League, he scored in a 2-0 win against Arsenal. On 5th March 2022, he scored a hattrick and Brentfords first hattrick in the Premier League in a 3-1 win away at Norwich. He again scored a hattrick next season in a 5-2 home victory against Leeds United. With such performance, he has become a household name. However on the flip side, he has been banned for 8 months in May 2023 for taking part in betting offence. He was initially suspended for 15 months but was reduced to first 11 then 8 as it was revealed he was suffering from gambling addiction. This means he will not play in the league in the first half of the season.
