Do Liverpool deserve to play in Europa league?

After seven seasons of Champions League football,where Liverpool had reached finals three times,winning one and losing one, the 2022-23 season became the first season where Liverpool will be playing in Europa league.The question is,do they deserve to play in a lesser known competition,for a traditional top four side?

The answer is,from my side yes because Liverpool have been poor this season. They started the season 2-2 at fulham,followed by 1-1 draw against Crystal palace,and a 2-1 loss at Old trafford.

However,some games has been glorious,for example 9-0 win against bournemouth,7-0 win against arch rivals Man utd at anfield,as well as 6-1 win against Leeds at Elland road. However these wins have been very occasional and otherwise they have been very poor. This is due to a combination of several factors,injuries to key players and loss of form. Also they crashed out of the CL after conceding 6 goals in 2 matches. Away record has also contributed to Liverpools failure as they won only 5 away games this season. Selling Sadio Mane was also a mistake as they failed to sign a suitable replacement. In my opinion to challenge for top 4 next season,they need to sign good players who are injury free.Then I think they will be able to get top 4 and potentially challenge Man city in the race to Premier League crown.
