By A Staff Reporter: Carles Cuadrat was exposed as an extremely ordinary local level coach. With a man advantage, East Bengal head coach Cuadrat had no game plan and strategy against Mohun Bagan in the key derby clash in Durand Cup final. His players were slow, they allowed Mohun Bagan forward line to progress and take free shots at goal.

There was no change in formation in East Bengal team to press home the advantage of a man. All that the players did was to try and lob the ball into the box hoping that someone from somewhere will head the ball into the goal. East Bengal was never in the match despite the red card for Mohun Bagan. The East Bengal coaching staff was more keen on arguing with match officials then planning for the game.
