Bayern Munich are going through a rough batch at the moment. After years of Bundesliga domination, it seems that their domination will end, as Bayer Leverkusen has emerged as surprise top leaders of the pack, and have decimated Bayern 3-0. Last night, they have lost against Italian side Lazio in the Champions League 1-0 and to compund their vowes, Upamecano was sent off. They are 5 points off top at the summit and have to contend with missing Upamecano in the reverse CL fixture.
They have also lost against Frankfurt and Weder Bremen, in the domestic league. Thomas Tuchels days seems to be numbered and their are calls for his sacking and many players like Joshua Kimmich, De Ligt are loosing confidence on him, and are rumoured to be leaving Bayern because of him. Even some players like Lothar Matthaus have expressed disapproval with him. Whether Bayern can overcome Leverkusen at the top to maintain their dominance remains to be seen in the Bundesliga, or can they keep alive Champions League hopes also remains to be seen. For now certainly, Thomas Tuchels is having a bad period, whether he can recover from it or face the sack remains to be seen.
