By a Staff Reporter: On January 26, another new history will be written in the country on Republic Day. Uniform Civil Code is going to be introduced in BJP-ruled Uttarakhand. This hilly state known as Dev Bhoomi is the first to implement this program announced at the time of its birth.
November 9 was Uttarakhand's birthday. Earlier, the new rules were to be implemented on that day. But since the matter is related to the Constitution, January 26 has been chosen. What changes will come in the life of citizens if the Uniform Civil Code is introduced?
Uniform Civil Code means a uniform civil law for all citizens of the country. Notable among these are the age of marriage, divorce, inheritance of property, etc. There are still differences between different religious and social groups regarding the age of marriage and inheritance of property. After this law, all these differences will be gone forever.
Similarly, regardless of religion, divorce will have to be approved by the court. That is, even if there is a divorce system for Muslims, it will have to be registered in the court from now on. As a result, the triple talaq controversy will also naturally go away forever.
