BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after the Wayanad campaign, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi came heavily upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the electoral bond scheme, calling it the world's biggest extortion scheme on April 15, Monday.

Rahul Gandhi questioned the timings between central agency inquiries and electoral bonds issued. He alleged that the donors gave electoral bonds right after any contract was given to them or a CBI inquiry was withdrawn. He accused PM Modi as the mastermind of the world's biggest extortion scheme. 

Kerala faced a major political showdown as the star campaigners, PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi carried out election campaigns for BJP and Congress respectively. PM Modi addressed rallies in Palakkad and Thiruvananthapuram while Rahul Gandhi held a roadshow in his constituency Wayanad.
