By A STAFF REPORTER: Good news for government employees in West Bengal. It has been decided to increase the salary of temporary employees by 12 percent. Apart from this, the minimum salary of temporary teachers is going to be Rs 57,700.
The registrar of North Bengal University has been tasked with taking advice from lawyers on whether there will be any legal problem in implementing the salary hike due to the absence of a vice-chancellor.
A meeting was held at the office of the temporary registrar of North Bengal University on Friday. In that meeting, it was decided to increase the salary of temporary workers. Debashis Dutta, temporary registrar of North Bengal University, said, "The salaries of temporary employees have been increased by 12 percent. As a result, temporary teachers will also get a minimum salary of Rs 57,700.”
