Will file defamation case against BJP state President, MP: JMM Gen Sec

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a controversial statement, JMM General Secretary, Supriyo Bhattacharya on Tuesday declared that the party will a defamation suit against Jharkhand BJP president and MP for maligning Chief Minister Hemant Soren's image.

Bhattacharya further revealed that he informed presspersons yesterday that Soren went to Delhi for personal reasons and would return once work was done. The General Secretary emphasized that Soren is not only CM but a prime institution of the state. He stated that the remarks made by BJP are completely applicable to CrPC 499 which criminalizes defamation of a person. Furthermore, he informed that a case will be registered against the president and MP of the main Opposition party. 

The Enforcement Directorate today raided the Delhi residence while searching for the CM and recovered cash worth 36 lakh with two luxurious cars. Soren held a meeting today with JMM MLAs and state ministers at his Ranchi residence.
