West Bengal: HM Amit Shah Slams Mamata Banerjee In Balurghat Rally

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Union Home Minister Amit Shah came heavily upon West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee over Sandeshkhali, NIA, CAA, and UCC during a rally in Balurghat, West Bengal on April 10, Wednesday.

Amit Shah mentioned the Bhupatinagar incident and accused Mamata Banerjee of attempting to safeguard the perpetrators of the Bomb Blast which killed three people in December 2022. 

Amit Shah also reiterated the Sandeshkhali incident and criticized Mamata Banerjee for politicizing the issue despite being a woman Chief Minister. "The women of Bengal are seeing that you are with the accused of the Sandeshkhali incident" He added.

Amit Shah stated that Mamata Banerjee allows infiltration in West Bengal as they are her vote-bank. He further asserted that the BJP government will stop infiltration in Bengal, as it did in Assam if they secure 30+ seats in West Bengal. Amit Shah also mentioned that Congress opposes the Uniform Civil Code as they want a Muslim personal law. He accused Mamata Banerjee of misleading people against the CAA and welcoming Rohingyas on a red carpet. He assured refugees of Bengal to apply for citizenship without any fear. Shah slammed the opposition for opposing the abrogation of Article 370. He further stated that Congress used a photograph of Thailand in their manifesto as it is a vacation spot for Rahul Gandhi. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited West Bengal for the first time after the announcement of the Lok Sabha election schedule. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has frequently visited West Bengal since March.
