Moreover, Bose stated that he had arrived in Jalpaiguri to assess the situation and speak to the victims. He assured that he would evaluate the welfare of the injured populace and damaged crops. "I contacted the National Disaster Management Authority and other agencies involved in relief measures. I am in touch with Delhi regarding this issue" He added.

West Bengal's Jalpaiguri endured the significant loss of lives, injuries, residential damage, uprooted trees, electricity poles etc on Sunday due to heavy storms and downpours. Around five people were killed and over 100 were injured in the disaster.
