West Bengal: BJP Worker Assaulted In Purandar Village
A day after the Lok Sabha Schedule announcement, a BJP worker, Suprabha Majumdar was assaulted along with a 17-year-old girl and 75-year-old lady in West Bengal's Purandar Village, Basanti Gram Panchayat Pradhan on March 17, Sunday.
BY A STAFF REPORTER: A day after the Lok Sabha Schedule announcement, a BJP worker, Suprabha Majumdar was assaulted along with a 17-year-old girl and 75-year-old lady in West Bengal's Purandar Village, Basanti Gram Panchayat Pradhan on March 17, Sunday.
Taking it to his X handle, BJP IT Cell National Convener Amit Malviya informed him about the incident. Reportedly, the victims were beaten up by TMC members. Malviya also alleged that TMC members assaulted BJP booth presidents and Mandal Karyakartas with iron rods and spades in the Balikhal area. Amit Malviya also informed that the victims were provided with medical and legal assistance.

The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on March 16. The election will be held in seven phases beginning on April 19. Moreover, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect since the announcement and will be imposed till the result declaration.
