BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, a six-member team of the West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights reached Khulna in Sandeshkali on 17th February, Saturday. 

Moreover, they provided medical and food support to a family whose child was assaulted by an unknown miscreant. Tulika Das, Chairperson of WBCPCR, revealed that an unknown man barged into a house and threw a seven-month-old child from his mother's lap. 

Protests against TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh and his associates for alleged land-grabbing and systemic sexual exploitations of women turned violent on 9th February. WB Governor C.V Ananda Bose visited Sandeshkali on 12th February and expressed grief on witnessing the grievances of the residents.
