BY A STAFF REPORTER: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee criticized the center for using tear gas shells to disperse the protesting farmers at the Haryana-Shambhu border on 13th February, Tuesday.

Taking it to her X handle, Banerjee condemned the incident and called it an 'assault' on farmers. She further emphasized that the BJP shall focus on humbling their egos, power-hungry ambitions, and inadequate governance that has 'harmed' our nation. "The Central Govt.'s failure to support farmers and laborers, coupled with futile PR stunts, exposes the illusion of Viksit Bharat." She added.

The authorities used tear gas shells to disperse the protesting farmers. Moreover, the farmers were en route to Delhi to participate in the large-scale farmers' protest, namely the 'Delhi chalo march', predominantly asking for legal assurance of MSP (minimum selling price).
