Villagers Physically Attack TMC Leader Ajit Maity In Sandeshkhali

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a tragic incident, a mob of villagers physically assaulted Trinamool Congress leader Ajit Maity in Sandeshkhali, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal on 23rd February, Friday. 

A video surfaced online showcasing village residents attacking Maity in unrest-hit Sandeshkhali. Moreover, the villagers also ransacked Ajit Maity's house. 

Ajit Maity is accused of being involved in a land-grabbing and extortion case. Furthermore, he is a close associate of TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh. 

A village located in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, Sandeshkhali is witnessing significant clashes and violence following allegations of systematic sexual exploitations and land-grabbing committed by TMC leaders, Shahjahan Sheikh, Shibu Hazara and Uttam Sardar. While others have been arrested, Shahjahan Sheikh remains absconding.
