Uttar Pradesh Introduces Rs. 736,438 Crore Budget for 2024-25

In a recent development, the Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday presented its budget for the session 2024-25 in Lucknow, which is said to be the biggest budget in the state's history.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a recent development, the Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday presented its budget for the session 2024-25 in Lucknow, which is said to be the biggest budget in the state's history. 

Tabled by UP Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, the budget is sized at Rs. 736,437 crores. Moreover, it incorporates new schemes costing nearly Rs. 24,000 crores. Furthermore, the current budget has prioritized women, youth, farmers, and employment generation. UP CM Yogi Adityanath termed the budget a 'Pink Budget' as it introduced many women-centric schemes.

Additionally, UP CM Yogi Adityanath stressed that UP's economy is the second biggest in the country and it was achieved by stopping revenue leakages and adopting reforms.
