TMC's Kunal Ghosh Requests Tapas Roy Not To Join Any Other Party

Kunal Ghosh also revealed that he visited Tapas Roy's residence along with Education Minister Bratya Basu to dissuade him from resigning. He resigned nonetheless.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after Roy's resignation, Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh urged former minister and TMC MLA Tapas Roy not to join any other party on 4th March, Monday.

Kunal Ghosh also revealed that he visited Tapas Roy's residence along with Education Minister Bratya Basu to dissuade him from resigning. He resigned nonetheless. 

Furthermore, Kunal Ghosh urged Tapas Roy to take off some time and refrain from joining any other party as they intend to resolve the issues at hand later on. Moreover, BJP's top leaders including LoP Suvendu Adhikari welcomed Tapas Roy's decision. 

This comes after veteran TMC MLA and former minister Tapas Roy resigned from his position and the party due to alleged ill-treatment and neglect. Kunal Ghosh has also resigned as TMC's General Secretary on Thursday but remains a member of the party.
