TMC MP Arjun Singh Supports Implementation of CAA (Rules) 2024

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, Trinamool Congress MP Arjun Singh extended support for the newly implemented CAA (Rules) 2024 on 12th March, Tuesday.

Arjun Singh felicitated the implementation of the CAA and expressed that he is happy as the law is being implemented. Moreover, the Barrackpore MP stated only time will tell whether he will contest from Barrackpore, from which party, and in what capacity.

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced the rules of the Citizenship Amendment Act (2019). Furthermore, the newly implemented CAA will be called the 'Citizenship Amendment Act (Rules) 2024'. The Act aims to grant Indian Citizenship to the refugees and migrants belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Parsi, Buddhist, Jain, and Christian communities who arrived in India before 31st December 2014 and faced persecution in their homelands.
