BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after Ghosh's controversial statement, the Trinamool Congress filed a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal against BJP MP Dilip Ghosh over "Mamata should identify her father" remarks on March 26, Tuesday.
The TMC filed a complaint alleging that Dilip Ghosh has passed derogatory and offensive remarks personally attacking Mamata Banerjee and consequently violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

The move comes after BJP MP Dilip Ghosh on Tuesday took a jibe at West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and remarked that she should identify her own father first as she calls herself daughter of certain states.
