Tejashwi Yadav Slams PM Modi Over 'Mangalsutra' Remarks

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Days after the controversial remark, former Bihar Deputy CM and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 24, Wednesday.

Tejashwi Yadav asserted that PM Modi would not have given such a statement if he understood the importance of 'Mangalsutra'. He questioned if PM Modi cared about those widows who lost their mangalsutras during demonetization and farmers' protests. Yadav further maintained that PM Modi should answer what he did during the last 10 years.

While addressing an election rally on Sunday, PM Modi came heavily upon the Congress, claiming that they will redistribute people's wealth to Muslims. He further claimed that such an urban-naxal mindset wouldn't even spare mangalsutras.
