By A STAFF REPORTER: There is speculation across the state about the problem of appointing vice-chancellors in state universities. The Supreme Court has taken steps to solve this problem. The Supreme Court has directed the Governor to take up the matter. The Supreme Court has directed that six suitable persons should be appointed as VCs from the list given by the state government. West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose will have to appoint six VCs from the list given by the state. Attorney General R Venkataraman, appearing for the Governor, told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that the Supreme Court has suggested that the issue be resolved through dialogue.
