Sunita Kejriwal Conveys Arvind Kejriwal's Message For Delhi MLAs

BY A STAFF REPORTER: A day after Sanjay Singh's release, Sunita Kejriwal conveyed Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's message for the MLAs of Delhi through a video statement on April 4, Thursday. 

Through the video statement, she stated that Arvind Kejriwal had sent a message to all MLAs. "Just because I am in jail, the people of Delhi should not suffer in any way. Every MLA must visit their respective areas regularly, discuss people's problems, and find a solution."

This comes a day after AAP MP Sanjay Singh walked out of the Tihar Jail on conditional bail. The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to AAP MP Sanjay Singh, one of the accused in the case as the ED failed to recover money pertinent to the scam. Moreover, he was arrested on October 4, 2023. However, the bail is not precedent. 

The authorities shifted Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to Tihar Jail and lodged him in jail number two following the orders of Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Monday. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court granted Judicial custody of 15 days to Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquorgate on April 1, Monday. 

Moreover, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday extended Arvind Kejriwal's ED remand till April 1 in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. The ED demanded a seven-day extension of Kejriwal's custody due to his alleged evasive replies and non-cooperation in the investigation. However, the court extended the remand for four days.

Furthermore, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court Remanded Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to ED Custody till March 28 in the Delhi Liquorgate case on March 22, Friday. The decision came as ED demanded 10-day custody of Kejriwal and submitted 28 pages of evidence alleging his involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. 

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.
