Sukanta Majumdar Denied Entry To Meet Jailed Party Workers In Basirhat

West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar was recently denied entry to visit imprisoned BJP workers in Basirhat on 22nd February, Thursday. Majumdar alleged government bias as the reason.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar was recently denied entry to visit imprisoned BJP workers in Basirhat on 22nd February, Thursday. Majumdar alleged government bias as the reason. 

Sukanta Majumdar shared that he sent a letter to meet Vikas Singh and 11 other party workers who are jailed. However, the administration reportedly barred Majumdar from meeting the imprisoned workers stating that only local MP is permitted to meet. Sukanta also asserted that the jailed BJP workers are innocent. He further alleged government bias saying "Those who are on the other side of the call aren't allowing it". Moreover, Sukanta Majumdar stated that for  Mamata Banerjee, her will equals the constitution.

State BJP President will organize a protest demanding the arrest of absconding TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh and against the Sandeshkhali incident in Kolkata from 26th February.
