BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after the announcement of the Lok Sabha Elections Schedule, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury criticized the seven phases process on March 16, Saturday.

Chowdhury stated that there's a possibility of 10 phases as well but this shows that the system is still stuck in the process of the seven phases amid the digital India era. He further expressed that it would be better if assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir were announced now rather than in September. Chowdhury also called for fair and violence-free elections.

Furthermore, the Election Commission of India shared the much-awaited schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls. The elections will be held in seven phases, commencing on April 19 and the results will be declared on June 4.
