South Eastern Railway Achieved Another Milestone

BY A STAFF REPORTER: South Eastern Railway achieved another milestone on 18.01.2024 as the first Goods train plied on the newly commissioned third line between Ghatsila – Salgajhari section of Kharagpur – Adityapur 3^rd line project.

First Goods train N/DPCB departed at 18:24 hrs on 18.01.2024 from Asanboni station on the newly commissioned third line immediately after receiving CRS authorization and taking Engineering and TRD fitness. Another Goods train N/STHM departed from Ghatsila towards Salgajhari cabin on the newly commissioned Third line.

With opening of traffic movement in the newly commissioned third line between Ghatsila – Salgajhari section, the 3^rd line is now fully operational from Kalaikunda to Salgajhari Yard of Kharagpur – Adityapur 3^rd line project. Commissioning of the Third line in this busy section will ensure smooth traffic movement from Howrah to TATA.
