BY A STAFF REPORTER: Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje held a protest along with BJP Mahila Morcha members against Neha Hiremath's murder and the Karnataka government's alleged inaction against the accused on April 23, Tuesday.
During the protest, Karandlaje came heavily upon the Karnataka government and accused them of trying to close the case. She further alleged that Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah aims to appease the vote-bank and minorities and hence the government is taking Neha Hiremath's murder lightly.

An MCA student of KLE Technological University and daughter of Congress Councillor Niranjan Hiremath, Neha Hiremath was hacked to death by former classmate Fayyaz on the college campus on April 18, Thursday. The father of the victim has alleged that Fayyaz was Neha's jilted lover and killed her after facing rejection.
