By a staff reporter: After a long time, heavy rain started in several districts of the south bengal, including Kolkata. The people of South Bengal got some relief from this rain.
But this first rainfall of the season was not pleasant for everyone. Seven people lost their lives in the west bengal due to heavy rain and lightning. According to sources, two people have died in Barrackpur due to lightning.
One person died in Panshkura, East Medinipur. Two people died in Uluberia and Bagnan of Howrah district. Two people died due to lightning in Purulia. It is also known that the train movement on the Sealdah division was suspended for some time due to this stormy rain. Large trees have fallen in many places in Kolkata. Several cars standing on the road were damaged due to this.
