BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, Delhi Police announced that section 144 has been imposed in the areas adjacent to Patel Chowk Metro Station in the view of AAP Gherao at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence in New Delhi on March 26, Tuesday. 

Furthermore, the police officials declared that there's no permission to protest and ordered individuals to clear the area within five minutes. The security around Patel Chowk Metro Station has been heightened as police personnel have been deployed outside the metro station. 

The Lok Kalyan Marg Metro station's entry/exit gate along with Central Secretariat Metro station's gate no. 5 will remain closed due to security reasons.

AAP leaders have decided to stage 'Gherao' around Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence on March 26 in Delhi. 

The decision comes to protest Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's arrest in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. Moreover, the Gherao will staged around Panchvati, the official name of PM Modi's residential complex, which is situated at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi. 

Furthermore, Gherao is a form of protest in which a group surrounds a place of work or residence to prevent those in authority from leaving until their demands are heard or met.

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.
