BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant development, the Supreme Court on Tuesday approved Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya's request seeking transfer from the Calcutta High Court.

According to an official release of the Supreme Court, the collegium, comprising CJI DY Chandrachud, Sanjiv Khanna, BR Gavai, Surya Kant, and Aniruddha Bose, approved the request and recommended her transfer from Calcutta High Court to the High Court for the state of Telangana.

Moreover, Bhattacharya sought a transfer on 12th February citing personal reasons.
