BY A STAFF REPORTER: After being stopped from entering Sandeshkali, Union Minister Annapurna Devi met with West Bengal governor CV Ananda Bose on 16th February. 

Devi expressed that the governor is sad about the situation. She asserted that the team will file a petition in the Supreme Court for entry into Sandeshkali. Moreover, the team will be meeting President Droupadi Murmu regarding the same. six-member BJP delegation constituted by JP Nadda for investigating the allegations of sexual exploitations and land-grabbing in Sandeshkali was stopped from entering the village by police authorities in Rampur.

Protests against TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh and his associates for alleged land-grabbing and systemic sexual exploitations of women turned violent on 9th February. WB Governor C.V Ananda Bose visited Sandeshkali on 12th February and expressed grief on witnessing the grievances of the residents.
