BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, Samajwadi Party chief whip and MLA Manoj Kumar Pandey tendered his resignation amid the elections of 10 Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh on 27th February, Tuesday.

Furthermore, the resignation comes after eight MLAs didn't attend the dinner party hosted by SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav,  raising concerns regarding speculations of cross-voting in the Rajya Sabha Polls.

Both parties-Congress and SP announced seat-sharing in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Consequently, Congress will contest 17 seats while Rest 63 seats are for the candidates of INDIA Alliance.
