Champai Soren will face a floor test to prove their majority in the Jharkhand Assembly

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ahead of the Floor test for the newly formed Champai Soren-led government, Jharkhand governor C.P. Radhakrishnan slammed the ruling coalition MLAs for protesting during his address in the state Assembly on 5th February, Monday.

Radhakrishnan emphasized that the MLAs of the ruling coalition government of JMM and Congress need to become more mature as they do not understand that the ruling party prepares the governor's address. The governor further asserted that they fulfilled their duty in an unbiased manner while following democratic protocols.

The government led by Champai Soren will face a floor test to prove their majority in the Jharkhand Assembly on Monday, 5th February. Moreover, Champai Soren needs at least 41 votes to win the majority. JMM/Congress Alliance itself has 47 MLAs, BJP comprises 25 MLAs while All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) has three. Moreover, the NCP and left party have one each along with independent MLAs.
