BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, the center allocated Rs. 40,475 lakh to Manipur for the development of Educational Infrastructure under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme for the fiscal year 2022-23.

Moreover, Minister of State for External Affairs Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh endeavored to secure the funds for Manipur which aims to develop and enhance the elementary, secondary, and teacher education sectors throughout the state.

Managed by the Ministry of Education, the Samagra Shiksha Scheme is a key initiative of the Government of India that aims to boost the entire school education system thoroughly. It integrates various programs including Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, and Teacher Education. Furthermore, the main goal of the scheme is to enhance the quality of education, ensuring its large-scale accessibility and helping students to learn more effectively across the country.
