Punjab AAP MP Sushil Rinku, MLA Sheetal Angural Join BJP

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a major setback to AAP, lone AAP MP from Punjab Sushil Kumar Rinku and Jalandhar MLA Sheetal Angural joined BJP on March 27, Wednesday.

Moreover, the reason for their unanticipated move is yet to be ascertained. Moreover, Sushil Kumar Rinku won the by-elections of Jalandhar in 2023. Sushil Kumar Rinku was formerly a Congress MLA who joined AAP on April 23 last year.

Reportedly, Sushil Kumar will likely contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections after getting a ticket from BJP.

The move comes days after Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court Remanded Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to ED Custody till March 28 in the Delhi Liquorgate case on March 22, Friday.   The decision came as ED demanded 10-day custody of Kejriwal and submitted 28 pages of evidence alleging his involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. 

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.
