Prez Murmu Offers Condolences To Jammu Bus Accident Victims

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Hours after the incident, President Droupadi Murmu expressed grief over the loss of lives in the bus accident that occurred in Akhnoor, Jammu on May 30, Thursday.

Taking it to her X handle, Murmu stated "Pained beyond words to learn about the loss of lives in a bus accident in Akhnoor near Jammu. My deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I wish speedy recovery of the injured."

Earlier today, 16 people were killed while 50 were injured in a bus accident in Akhnoor, Jammu. The bus was carrying passengers from Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Rescue operations are underway.
