President Droupadi Murmu Confers Padma Awards

BY A STAFF REPORTER: President Droupadi Murmu honored celebrated people from all walks of life with Padma Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan award on April 22, Monday.

Former Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu was awarded with Padma Vibhushan. Moreover, celebrated artists including Actor Mithun Chakraborty, and Singer Usha Uthup were awarded Padma Bhushan. Bangladesh's Singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya was conferred with Padma Shri. In the field of sports, Rohan Bopanna, who achieved 1st position globally in Tennis Doubles Rankings, was awarded Padma Shri.

The Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian awards which comprise three categories namely Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. furthermore, the Padma Vibhushan is the second-highest civilian award while Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri stand at third and fourth respectively.
