BY A STAFF REPORTER: A day after the Coochbehar incident, Union Minister Nisith Pramanik on Wednesday accused TMC of launching a pre-planned attack against BJP Convoy in Coochbehar.

While condemning the incident, Pramanik alleged that such incidents are frequently carried out by TMC and Congress in West Bengal. He also reported that he faced similar attacks before.  Pramanik stated that after arriving as a candidate, he told everyone to participate as much as possible in this festival of democracy and the common people should also exercise their right to vote. Moreover, Pramanik asserted that TMC knows they will lose the Coochbehar seat in the upcoming elections.

He accused TMC members of launching a pre-planned attack against their convoy. "Trinamool Congress knows that as long as I am alive, I will get this seat under any circumstances and I will get the full blessings of the people here" He claimed.

Several BJP supporters clashed with the Trinamool Congress supporters in Dinhata, Coochbehar on Tuesday evening. The incident injured numerous people including police personnel. Furthermore, the clash broke out hours after MoS Nisith Pramanik addressed a public rally in the area and state minister Udayan Guha was set to head a rally nearby the area.
