BY A STAFF REPORTER: As the Karnataka government stages a protest against the Central government, BJP MP Tejasvi Surya slammed the Karnataka government and termed their protests as a political gimmick on 7th February, Wednesday.

Surya further claimed that 75% of Karnataka's funds in the last 20 years were received during the Modi government's era. Moreover, he criticized Congress for mindlessly promising freebies during elections which they failed to provide.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday addressed a letter asking for the participation of BJP MP Tejasvi Surya along with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, former PM HD Devegowda, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrashekhar and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in protests against alleged financial injustices committed by the Central Government on Karnataka. 

The MPs and MLAs of Karnataka along with Siddaramaiah are staging a large-scale protest against the 15th Finance Commission and Center's policies concerning tax devolution and revenue to the state at Delhi's Jantr Mantar on 7th February, Wednesday
