BY A STAFF REPORTER: Shortly after HC's verdict, AAP MP Sanjay Singh on Tuesday asserted that the Delhi excise policy case is a political conspiracy to imperil the Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Sanjay Singh termed the case the biggest political conspiracy since independence. He further alleged that the conspiracy aims to topple the AAP government and eliminate Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal which has been elected with a huge majority in Delhi and Punjab. Singh also termed this as an attempt to imperil AAP for its growing fame and achieving the status of national party in 10 years. Furthermore, he alleged that the liquor scam had been orchestrated by the BJP. He also alleged that false witnesses and baseless allegations were prepared in Arvind Kejriwal's case.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday dismissed Arvind Kejriwal's plea challenging his arrest. The HC stated that the ED possesses sufficient evidence to arrest Kejriwal. Moreover, it also ruled that CM Arvind Kejriwal will not enjoy any special privileges as the judges as bound by the law and not politics.

The authorities shifted Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to Tihar Jail and lodged him in jail number two following the orders of Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Monday. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court granted Judicial custody of 15 days to Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquorgate on April 1, Monday. Previously, Kejriwal was under the Enforcement Directorate's custody in the Delhi excise policy case since his arrest.

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on March 21, Thursday.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh walked out of the Tihar jail on Wednesday as the Supreme Court on Tuesday granted him bail as the ED failed to recover money pertinent to the scam. Moreover, he was arrested on October 4, 2023. However, the bail is not precedent.
