BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, Police officials restricted the fact-finding team from entering Sandeshkhali on 3rd March, Sunday. However, they allowed six members of the team to proceed.

Moreover, former Inspector General of Haryana Police, Rajpal Singh is leading the team. Furthermore, the team is also carrying a High Court Order permitting them to visit three locations in West Bengal concerning the Sandeshkhali matter.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mentioned the Sandeshkhali incident and slammed the TMC-led West Bengal government for unrest in Sandeshkhali, North 24 Parganas.

Prime accused in the Sandeshkhali matter, Shahjahan Sheikh was arrested on 29th February, Thursday. He was suspended for six years by the Trinamool Congress. 

A village located in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, Sandeshkhali is witnessing significant clash and violence following allegations of systematic sexual exploitations and land-grabbing committed by TMC leaders, Shahjahan Sheikh, Shibu Hazara and Uttam Sardar. Shahjahan Sheikh remained absconding since 5th January after an ED team was attacked by a large mob while conducting raids at Shahjahan's residence.
