BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bengal visit, TMC leader Udayan Guha on Tuesday asserted that Modi is visiting as elections are nearby.
Udayan Guha also recalled that PM Modi didn't visit West Bengal in the last three years. Moreover, Udayan Guha argued that Modi's visit would be ineffectual as the state's villagers know that only CM Mamata Banerjee can help them. He further mentioned that Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also pay a visit to West Bengal.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Kolkata and will inaugurate the country's first underwater metro rail transport. Furthermore, he will address an all-women's rally and enlighten them about the plans of government for their upliftment.
