BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Bihar Assembly passed the No-confidence motion against Speaker and RJD leader Awadh Bihari Choudhary on 12th February, Monday in Patna.
Moreover, 125 members voted in favour of the motion while 112 members voted against the motion. As per the results, Choudhary will be removed from the post of speaker and the assembly will elect a new speaker to replace him.
The floor test for the NDA government led by Nitish Kumar is underway in the Bihar Assembly. The current chief minister Nitish Kumar resigned from his post and formed a new government with the aid of the BJP on 28th January. Earlier in 2022, he had left NDA and joined the Bihar Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) which comprised Lalu Yadav's RJD, Congress, and three other parties
