NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma Reaches Sandeshkali

Rekha Sharma emphasized that NCW is standing with the victims of Sandeshkali. Furthermore, she stressed that TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh must be arrested as women are afraid of him.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: "This is not just the situation in Sandeshkali, but the entire state" Said Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of National Commission for Women, who reached violence-hit Sandeshkali, West Bengal on 19th February, Monday. 

Sharma emphasized that NCW is standing with the victims of Sandeshkali. Furthermore, she stressed that TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh must be arrested as women are afraid of him. Moreover, Sharma mentioned that she would submit a report to President Droupadi Murmu after interacting with the police and taking account of atrocities committed against the victims. She also alleged that the police arrest relatives of victims and do not take action against any atrocities.

Additionally, NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma will meet West Bengal governor CV Ananda Bose on 20th February. Sharma stated that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee doesn't allow her administration to meet sleuths of central agencies.
