National Human Rights Commission Team Arrives In Sandeshkhali

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant development, a team of the National Commission of Human Rights arrived in West Bengal's Patpara, Sandeshkhali, North 24 Parganas on 23rd February, Friday.

Moreover, the NHRC team will meet the victims and investigate allegations of systematic sexual exploitation and land-grabbing committed by TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh and others.

A village located in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, Sandeshkhali is witnessing significant clashes and violence following allegations of systematic sexual exploitations and land-grabbing committed by TMC leaders, Shahjahan Sheikh, Shibu Hazara and Uttam Sardar. While others have been arrested, Shahjahan Sheikh remains absconding.
